Art - Mural Research Thing

In art we had to do a research task about murals, here is my work:

Find a mural timelapse:

Artist name: Dan Kitchener
Art Location: 45th street/Butler street Pittsburgh, America
My Comment: I chose this work because the colours caught my eyes as I was looking for a time-lapse. I like the detail of the work, how all the colours look together and I kinda like how chaotic it looks.
Find another mural:

Artist Name: Tess Sheerin
Where Arist is from: Tess Sheerin is from Raglan, NewZealand. She is an environmental activist as well as being an artist.
My Comment: I chose this work because I like how it is simple and still spreads a message. I like how the background makes the seal stand out more and I like how the background colours correlate with the colours used for the trash.

Art - Week 6

In art, we have been designing murals. We got put in groups and we have to design a mural that relates with the theme whanaungatanga. So far we have assigned roles to our group Jordan is the director, Gary is the story manager, Cortney is the colour and chief painter and I am the assistant. We have not completed our plan but I will share a picture once we get further along with our work.

Art - Week 4

In art, we have been doing art. We have been learning about different painting techniques and how to apply that to our work. As well as that we have also been learning about the different styles of art from around the world. The techniques we focused on were mono-printing, texture, blending and glazing. First, we had to demonstrate that we knew what these techniques were and how to do them. After we proved we knew what we were doing we used the techniques to make our own interpretation of little parts of a painting. I did two different pieces of art. The first one uses glazing and texture as the main technique. The second piece of art I used glazing and mono-printing. I am not sure about how I feel about these paintings but we had to post them so here is a picture of my artworks:
sorry for the bad quality phots I had to use my webcam :)

Art Research

In Art, we are researching different styles of street arts from different cultures. We had to do some drawings of different aspects of the things we saw in a couple of pictures. Here is a photo of the art I looked at:

Art - Magazine

In art we have been designing a magazine about Hornby. We all got put into groups and assigned a topic to make a page about. The page that my group got was the cover page. We are struggling with the cover page as our full group is never here and we keep losing things and having to start again. The first steps to making our page was to make a few thumbnail sketches that we were going to replicate to the best of our ability on adobe illustrator. After the thumbnail sketches we had to become comfortable with using illustrator. Now we are on to actually making the page.  We had to answer some questions about our page so far so like here are the questions and my answers:

Does your design reflect your thumbnail sketches so far? No because we lost the thumbnail sketches we were going to use and had to draw up more yesterday.

Does your design reflect the feeling of your topic? No, we haven't even decided what we want to make the page look like yet.

Do you know where your leading lines are? Again we have not done enough work to have leading lines.

Do you know what your focal point is? Our focal point is going to be our tittle.

here is a screenshot of what we have managed to accomplish so far :
