Art - Week 4

In art, we have been doing art. We have been learning about different painting techniques and how to apply that to our work. As well as that we have also been learning about the different styles of art from around the world. The techniques we focused on were mono-printing, texture, blending and glazing. First, we had to demonstrate that we knew what these techniques were and how to do them. After we proved we knew what we were doing we used the techniques to make our own interpretation of little parts of a painting. I did two different pieces of art. The first one uses glazing and texture as the main technique. The second piece of art I used glazing and mono-printing. I am not sure about how I feel about these paintings but we had to post them so here is a picture of my artworks:
sorry for the bad quality phots I had to use my webcam :)

Home Economics - Jam Drops

In Home Economics we made Jam Drops. I worked in a pair with Tana as there weren't enough people to have a group of four. Tana and I worked pretty well and we shared out our jobs evenly, for example, I washed dishes while Tana mixed the ingredients together. I feel that we worked well together and that our overall outcome was good. I thought that the jam drops turned out great and they were pretty yummy too. Some of our jam drops were given to the staff and they said that they enjoyed them and that they were tasty. Next time I feel like we could save more time or starting cleaning up earlier as when tidying up we were quite rushed. Overall I thought that the jam drops turned out well and that they were the right consistency. Below is a picture I found that looks quite similar to our cookies (I forgot to take a picture of our actual cookies).

Workshop 6 - Film Study

Unsurprisingly, the Jordy and Dilly show aired 10 minutes late.
Whereas I turned up to the set on time, Jordy was nowhere to be seen.
Seeing that Jordan was again late, Dylan rolled her eyes.
Annoyed by Jordan's lack of appearance, Dylan threw a fit.
Jordan is lazy, late and uncommitted.
The control room for The Hunger Games was full of blues, whites and greys.
Throughout The Hunger Games, colour is used effectively to engage the audience.

In the Capitol, colour is used to engage the viewer.
Juxtaposed to District 12s dull costumes, the people of the Capitol are seen in bright and colourful clothes.
